On Thursday, January 16, 2014, the Waterloo Region District School Board is hosting An Evening With Dr. Ross Greene for parents, guardians, and the community. Dr. Ross Greene is a dynamic speaker and passionate advocate of Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS). He is Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard University, and the author of The Explosive Child and Lost at School. CPS (formally known as Collaborative Problem Solving) is an approach that helps parents, guardians and caregivers work responsively to resolve the challenging behaviours of children of all ages. Dr. Greene will describe clear and practical strategies caregivers and children can use to resolve disagreements and disputes in a collaborative, mutually satisfactory way.
