We are a busy school!  Lots of kids!  Lots of spirit!  Parents, please find some key information about upcoming dates below.

  • October 19 – Election Day: we are a voting site; walking is an especially good idea today!
  • October 21 – Deadline to return fundraising money/product
  • October 21 – Deadline for photo orders – thanks for ordering online! Kindergarten parents
  • October 21 -Back to the Future Day at WTT celebrating the day that Marty McFly traveled to the future in the movie Back to the Future 2!  This will be a Retro Day planned by our very own student council. Students can dress in clothes from their favourite era from the past to help bring the past to the present! 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s even 1990s! Help us bring it BACK TO THE FUTURE!
  • October 23 – Picture Retake and Class Photo Day: students who have not had a photo taken and those wishing retakes will be called down first and then the class photos will be taken; parents of kindergarten children who wish to have a retake are welcome to call the office and we will create a list to help the photographers
  • October 23 – Move-a-thon Pledge Forms go home!  All proceeds will go towards our natural playground.
  • October 26 – Michael Wade Author visit: students in grades 3-6 will enjoy meeting with Michael to discuss the writing process and his books; books are available for purchase for $5 each
  • October 29th – Move-a-thon! Student love this opportunity to move, dance and have fun in the gym!
  • October 30 – Black and Orange and Halloween: Students are welcome to wear costumes or black and orange. No make-up, masks or weapons are allowed. Parents are reminded that any product containing nuts and home-baked treats are not allowed at any time as we strive to be a peanut safe environment.  Please do not send in candies or treats to share as it is a regular instructional day.
  • November 2 – Deadline for spirit wear orders.  Order forms are available in the office and on school day. Samples are available in the office. We are ordering from Artal’s this year and appreciate that we are getting the spirit wear items for the same price as 3 years ago.

Collections:

Several issues have arisen over Pokemon cards.  Please remind your child to leave all such collections at home.
