Hello Trailblazer Community!
This year our spirit days and spirit council will look a little bit different. We will have 4 SPIRIT HOUSES with a house name and two colours. This will help give all students the opportunity to earn spirit points and participate!
Spirit Council Members
Any JUNIOR (Grades 4, 5 & 6) student who wants to come out for Spirit Council is welcome to join! We have at least members from each Junior Class to help with making posters, sharing announcements, collecting points, or helping to create our bulletin board. Meetings are usually on Day 4 but may vary depending on the Spirit Days coming up!
WTT Spirit/Trailblazer Houses Breakdown
-
ALL classes will work on demonstrating TEAMWORK within the classroom, in your colour house, and around the school through house challenges, dressing up for spirit days, etc.
-
We have 4 Houses: Respect, Acceptance, Initiative, Leadership
-
Initiative: Blue & Orange
-
Respect: Red & Purple
-
Leadership: Green & White
-
Acceptance: Yellow & Black
-
How to earn spirit points:
-
Dress Up for Spirit Days – It needs to look like you made an effort to wear at least one of the two colours of your house that day or the colours/criteria for the spirit day.
-
Participate in CLASS Activities – Terry Fox Run, Random ACT of Kindness, Winter Holiday Challenges, etc
-
Participate in HOUSE Challenges – different challenges throughout the year with another class or classes in your house to earn points (including DPA Face-Offs, Random Acts of Kindness, etc)
There are usually 3 or 4 Spirit Days in a month and Spirit Council will do its best to get the information out with plenty of time to plan or coordinate outfits! Follow Mrs. Schnarr on Twitter or Instagram (@MrsSchnarr/@mrs.schnarr) for reminders and see spirit council posters! They will also be retweeted on the WTT Twitter feed.
Looking forward to a very spirited and colourful year!
