Hello to our Trailblazer Community!

We wanted to share some exciting updates about our spirit days this year. Just like last year, we will have 4 SPIRIT HOUSES with a house name and two colours. This will help give all students the opportunity to earn spirit points and participate!

Spirit Council Members

Any JUNIOR (Grades 4, 5 & 6) student who wants to come out for Spirit Council is welcome to join! We are hoping to have at least members from each Junior Class to help with making posters, sharing announcements, collecting points, or helping to create our bulletin board. Meetings are usually on Day 3 or 4 but may vary depending on the Spirit Days coming up!

How to earn spirit points:

  • Dress Up for Spirit Days – It needs to look like you made an effort to wear at least one of the two colours of your house that day or the colours/criteria for the spirit day.

  • Participate in CLASS Activities – Terry Fox Run, Random Acts of Kindness, Bullying Awareness Initiatives, Winter Holiday Challenges, etc

  • Participation in SCHOOL WIDE Activities – including Food Drives, House Challenges, etc

There are usually 2 Spirit Days in a month and can be found on our School Calendar on our website. These dates will also be shared by your child’s teacher on their monthly calendar or online using tools like Seesaw or Class Dojo. Spirit Council will do its best to get the information out with plenty of time to plan or coordinate outfits! Our next spirit day is a Dress-Up/Black and Orange Spirit Day! We encourage students and families to participate as they feel comfortable by wearing a school appropriate costume or black and orange.

Follow Mrs. Schnarr on Twitter or Instagram (@MrsSchnarr/@mrs.schnarr) for reminders and see spirit council posters! They will also be retweeted on the WTT Twitter feed.

Looking forward to a very Spirited year!
