BOOMERANG AND ZERO WASTE LUNCHES STARTING AT WTT ON APRIL 6TH.

What is it?

A boomerang lunch is a lunch that returns all garbage, food and containers back to the source at home. A Zero Waste lunch has no garbage and uses reusable containers. We will no longer have green bin and recycle bins available at school.

Why are we doing this?

As an Eco School, we are trying to reduce waste at school and ask our students to be responsible global citizens starting with their own waste being properly recycled in their home.

To save you money.

Buying in bulk is a great way to save money.  Instead of buying items such as individual yogurt containers or packages of Goldfish, you can buy the larger packages and individually portion them into reusable containers.

To encourage healthy eating.

Because boomerang and Zero Waste lunches encourage us to purchase less prepackaged food, an added bonus is that lunches end up being much healthier!  Goods that don’t come individually packaged are typically less processed and contain less additives and preservatives.

Thank you for your cooperation as we try to be a better ECO SCHOOL and reduce our garbage.
