Friday’s PA day was a great opportunity for team building, discussing the importance of being critical friends as we learn together and reflecting upon how our goals align with the WRDSB Board Improvement Plan For Student Achievement. Our staff is committed to “optimizing learning and well being for all students to achieve ex
cellence”.

We are very pleased that the peeling paint on our entrance way is being scraped and painted today.  It is important to us that our school is well cared for and welcoming and we very much appreciate the awesome weather that is allowing this job to be done.. Thanks to our WRDSB facility supervisor and Mike’s Painting.

Our students are awesome at walking their bikes on school property and wearing helmets!  Bravo TRAILBLAZERS! An important goal for some of our students is to consistently use the crosswalk and/or crossing guards to safely cross Activa Avenue.  Did you know that it is only 65 steps from the end of driveway at the entrance to ring road to the crosswalk in front of the school? Walking an extra 130 steps is easy and fast! TRAILBLAZERS, taking the safest route to school is an important life skill to practice.

Students in grades 1-6 interested in signing up for WTT Floor Hockey League (WFHL) should return their permission slips to the box in the office as soon as possible.  The deadline is November 18 at 9:00 a.m. but if students are really keen, it is important to get the form in right away as there is a limit of 40 players in each of the 3 groups (grades 1-2, 3-4, 5-6).

Our flag has been lowered to half-mast for today and tomorrow in recognition of and respect for the many lives that have been lost due to violence and tragedy in recent days.

Did you know? We currently have 748 students registered with 209 in French Immersion and 161 in Kindergarten.
